We always scope before we price. The fee is agreed after a scoping call where we understand what's needed. If scope changes mid-engagement, we stop and re-scope — we never silently absorb or silently charge extra.
Architecture decision records are produced at scoping. Every significant architectural choice is documented with rationale. Code passes review before handover — test coverage is agreed upfront, not negotiated at the end.
